Abstract

Human trafficking is a pervasive and complex issue in Nigeria, with far-reaching consequences for victims, communities, and the nation as a whole. Despite efforts to combat trafficking, the problem persists, and effective solutions remain elusive. This paper explores the challenges and opportunities for inter-agency cooperation in addressing human trafficking in Nigeria. Through a qualitative research approach, this study examines the perspectives of key stakeholders, including law enforcement, social service providers, and government officials. The findings highlight the need for improved communication, coordination, and collaboration among agencies, as well as the importance of addressing underlying structural and societal factors that contribute to trafficking. The study concludes by recommending strategies for enhancing inter agency cooperation and providing a framework for a comprehensive and sustainable approach to combating human trafficking in Nigeria.
