About the Journal

The KASU Journal of Management Sciences (KJMS) is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access journal published twice a year by the Faculty of Management Sciences, Kaduna State University, Kaduna, Nigeria.

Our purpose

KJMS is the Faculty's own journal, and it carries the whole of the Faculty's range: accounting and auditing, banking and finance, business administration, entrepreneurship, marketing, procurement and public administration. Its stated objective is to address the issues and practice of corporate and economic management in Nigeria and the African continent at large, and it publishes both theoretical and empirical work.

That breadth is the point rather than a compromise. Management problems in this region rarely respect departmental boundaries — a study of revenue collection is at once a question of accounting, of administration and of public policy — and KJMS exists so that work of that kind has somewhere to go.

Open access

Everything KJMS publishes is free to read, download and share from the day it appears. There is no subscription, no paywall and no embargo period. Publication is funded by author charges, which are set out in full under Fees and Charges in the Author Guidelines.

Submissions

The subject areas we cover and the manuscripts that fall outside our remit are set out on the Aims & Scope page. Submissions are made through this website, and the Author Guidelines carry everything an author needs: manuscript preparation, how review works, fees, ethics and copyright. Published work is in the Archives.
